Description of attractions
Discover the incredibly picturesque places of Bali on this rich and inspiring tour, where each location is filled with natural strength and Balinese spirit.
Sacred Banyan Tree
Let's start our journey with a visit to the ancient Banyan tree — a giant that is more than 700 years old. This place is considered an energy center, and powerful roots, like columns, create a natural temple in which you want to be silent and just be. Perfect for photo, meditation and reloading.
Until now, in Bali, banyans are "dressed" in black and white cloth (poleng) — a symbol of balance between good and evil. In Bali, there is a legend about a banyan, which can be whispered desire by going around the tree three times counterclockwise. According to legend, if the request is sincere, the guardian spirit of the tree can fulfill it for three lunar cycles. Only you can not ask for evil or revenge — otherwise the spirit will turn away forever.
Bali Farm House
Then we will go to a picturesque farm in the hills. Bali Farm House is located in a picturesque village near Bedugul — surrounded by hills, fresh mountain air and green fields. Here you can walk among organic beds, chat with animals and breathe in the aroma of freshness. Bali Farm House is a real contact with nature and Balinese life in a cozy, "rustic" atmosphere overlooking the mountains. On the farm you can chat and feed alpacas, goats, sheep, rabbits, ducks and even mini ponies. Everything is thought out for family and friendly interaction: animals live in spacious, clean pens, are available for children and adults. There are play areas, tree benches, a mini-museum and even a mini-market with handicrafts on site.
On the farm, you can take part in master classes on making cheeses, soaps, fermentation and growing plants.
Handara Gate & Golf Hotel
Next stop — the legendary Handara Gate and lunch break. This gate has become a symbol of the "entrance to another world", and for good reason: behind it stretches one of the highest golf resorts in Asia.
An 18-hole par-72 course designed by five-time British Open champion Peter Thomson in 1974. According to Golf Magazine, Handara was already on the list of the 50 greatest fields in the world in the 1970s.
The resort is located in the crater of an extinct volcano at an altitude of about 1,400 m above sea level, in the middle of the Bedugul mountain range. High mountain peaks, cool climate (average 14–20° C), fresh air and fogs form the effect of "mountains in the clouds". Clean cool air, morning clouds, silence and photos that will not leave anyone indifferent.
Aling Aling Waterfall
The final point of the route is a powerful and picturesque waterfall Aling-Aling, hidden in the jungle. “Aling-Aling” in Balinese means baby crying — perhaps because of the noise of falling water, reminiscent of the cry of a child.
Aling Aling Waterfall is located in the north of Bali, in the village of Sambangan, near the city of Singaraja. This is one of the most popular places for outdoor enthusiasts. Unlike other Balinese waterfalls, here you can not only admire the streams of water, but also try your hand at jumping from a height and steep water slides. People come here to have a good time and get a dose of adrenaline!
The waterfall is about 35 meters high, and its waters are rapidly falling into a cool lagoon surrounded by cliffs and dense tropical gardens. Accompanied by a guide, tourists are offered three places for jumping: from a height of 5, 10 and 15 meters (Kroya, Kembar waterfalls – aka Twin and Pucuk, respectively). Everything is equipped conveniently and safely: there are stairs, life jackets, as well as areas for rest and observation.
Nature here amazes with its pristine beauty: dense tropics, mossy stones, clear water, bamboo bridges over a mountain river and even a mini-canyon along which the route passes. The path to the waterfall is not exhausting, it takes only 5-10 minutes. Unlike popular waterfalls like Tegenungan or Git Git, there are no crowds here, which makes the visit more private and atmospheric. This place is perfect for photo shoots — take spectacular photos by the waterfall, against the backdrop of a turquoise pool, or at the top of a waterfall.
